The Passport Control and Issuance System(PCIS) was developed at NIC-HQ, New Delhi in Oracle 7.0 by MEA Informatics Division. This is a menu based system working satisfactorily since 1996 at Regional Passport Office, Kolkata. There are generally Registration Section, Police/Addition Section, Policy Section, DA section, Dispatch Section, Passport Writing Section, Enquiry Section, Record Section and Index section etc. at the Regional Passport Office, Kolkata.

Immigration Office: Immigration Control System

The Immigration Control System is implemented in all major check posts in the county including the ones falling in West Bengal viz. ICP Haridaspur, NSCBI Airport Kolkata. A Look Out Circular (LOC) is maintained in computer and this LOC is being updated on regular basis. All Embarkation and De-Embarkation are checked with LOC at the time of entry of Embarkation and De-Embarkation cards.
